The Mandt System is an annual training that focuses on healthy relationships in the work place. Click for more information and to register.
The SKACD Autism team provides two (3 hour) trainings. The 1st training is an overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder and includes information on visual supports. The 2nd training focuses on individual needs of students and program development. Click for more information and to register.
Students affected by trauma is a major concern in schools today. This training is designed to help teachers understand the effects of trauma and how to work with students who have experienced it. Click for more information and to register.
All the schools in the SKACD Cooperative use the Student Improvement Team (SIT) process. This training is designed to help SIT teams develop appropriate data collection and intervention strategies for students struggling with academic and/or behavioral issues. Sensory issues make learning difficult for some students in the school setting. This training is designed to give school staff information to understand sensory issues and how they can effect students. Different interventions and resources will be shared during the training. CHAMPS: Classroom Management
The STAPLE Group is certified to teach CHAMPS in the state of Kansas. CHAMPS is a classroom management framework that uses evidence-based practices to support teachers. Please contact Mark Dierking for more information.
3 Tiered Model of Support
The STAPLE Group works with schools and districts to help implement a 3-tiered model of support. There are several names and acronyms that have been used to describe the information and framework used to implement and develop a prevention based model. Some of the more common names are Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).

Each school and district has strengths and needs. The STAPLE Group will work with your school to individualize supports that fit your school and ultimately support students.

CMSS is a "Teacher" coaching model that uses short videos, positive feedback, and data collection to help teachers with essential skills for good classroom management.

Parent and Family Support
The STAPLE Group is dedicated to student success and that means supporting parents and families as well as schools. A parent information page is currently being developed. It will provide information on local resources, parent rights, and links to other resources.
